Reality Learning achieved a significant milestone by receiving a social enterprise certification from leading Australian industry body, Social Traders, late last week.

Following an extensive review of 200 data points including Reality Learning’s organisational strategy, finance and impact data, this certification is more than a badge – it’s a catalyst for future impact.

Reality Learning Founder, Judith Hewitson, said she was pleased to join 600 certified social enterprises building a movement of public benefit over private gain.

Reality Learning has been driving social change through its work with charities, universities and government these past 15 years, where together we’ve challenged preconceptions, shifted outdated narratives, and created positive change.

“Our certification from Social Traders is an endorsement of our purpose-driven approach, and an important step for future funding, partnerships, and collaborations that will strengthen our mission and expand our ongoing impact.”

What Certification Means for Our Network

Social Trader’s social enterprise certification connects and verifies organisations that have demonstrable commitment and track records of delivering measurable social or environmental impact through trade.

Trust in our track record of delivering real outcomes for our community and elevating the voices of people with lived experience, opens doors for future social procurement and government programs that are prioritising operations for an equitable future.

Already, our partnership with women-led businesses for the creation of the Xelerator program (business growth through equity), demonstrates how collaboration, equity, and growth go hand-in-hand.

With certification, we are better positioned to deepen existing relationships and forge new ones, with the goal of expanding attitude change programs and a drive for a more inclusive and equitable society.

Reality Learning Founder, Judith Hewitson

As a social enterprise with charitable status, and a strong multidisciplinary team, we contribute to a fairer and more equitable Australia by producing innovative approaches to immersive, scalable programs that, importantly, are driven by the lived experience,” Judith said.

“This combination sets us apart from learning development providers for those seeking a partner that walks the talk and puts lived experience and the community first.

“Thank you to the wonderful teams at SEDO for guiding us through the accreditation, and the Reality Learning collective for working with us to get there.

“Whether you’re a client or a partner, this achievement strengthens our collective ability to reach more people and drive meaningful change through storytelling and learning programs.

Reality Learning looks forward to working with you to open new doors and create lasting impact. For more on how you can partner for change, reach out at info@realitylearning.org today.
