The collapse of global startup Scale Facilitation was a shock to many, but for those close to founding CEO and former PwC Partner David Collard, the writing was on the wall. View the five-episode documentary on the company’s alleged $126 M tax fraud and unpaid debts that left the Geelong community reeling.

Introduction
Episode 1: Community
Episode 2: Business
Episode 3: Collapse
Episode 4: Impact
Episode 5: Solidarity

The Deputy Prime Minister, Richard Marles; Opposition Leader, Peter Dutton; and David Collard, were approached for comment but did not respond by time of release.

Statements made in this film reflect the lived experience of participants, and claims have been verified by multiple sources. The Australian Federal Police investigation into Scale Facilitation and its Directors is still in progress at the time of this film’s release. Any references to criminal activity, including tax fraud, are allegations. Anyone who believes that events have been misrepresented is encouraged to contact the filmmaker.

We thank former Scale Facilitation employees and their families who bravely shared their story, and all those who spoke with us, on or off the record. Thank you to RL and Documentary Australia for their support of independent film; Arts Law Centre for pro bono legal advice; and to all donors and Geelong community members who generously supported this project, including Lucy Parker, Rhys Stephens, Damian Flanders, Liam Flanders, Christina Ekegren, Silas Warhust, Pat Nelson, Helen Kreeck, and Stuart Kreeck.

Lastly, we thank Michael Graham for his dedication to the project and for helping to bring the human impact of corporate corruption in Australia to life. May we continue to tell stories from the bottom-up to reshape the lens in which we view the world, and drive the regulatory reforms that are so greatly needed.
